Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have. PIER is a product of Paneltech Industries Ltd (“Paneltech”, “we”), which is the data controller for information collected here.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, request a spec pack, book a consultation or use the contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, company, role, project location or postcode, timeframe, message, any joinery you tell us you're interested in, and the banquette configurations you choose to send.

Our hosting provider records standard technical information (such as your IP address) in server logs, and we use your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions and protect the form from spam.

Why we use it

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry — to answer your questions and to prepare the drawings, samples, consultations or quotes you've asked for. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this site: Vercel (website hosting and, only if you accept analytics, Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics) and Resend (delivering enquiry emails to our team). They process data on our behalf and under our instructions. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry becomes a project, we keep the correspondence as part of our business records. Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within two years.

Your saved schedule

Banquettes you add to your schedule or selection are stored in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there when you come back. They are not sent to us until you submit an enquiry, and they are cleared from your browser once you do. You can also remove them at any time from the schedule page.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it. To make a request, email us at the address below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
